+What people love

Before all else, impress upon your son that Lego is a toy that is fully intended to be disassembled and rebuilt into something else. Unless a piece is actually broken, the set is not broken - it can always be rebuilt, and that is supposed to be the really fun part of playing with Lego.

That’s insane lol, similar to the time I ordered a Sanctum Sanctorum and Daily Bugle and Lego accidentally sent an extra Bugle free of charge

Honestly, the perspective is the best part. The intricacies would have been lost at any other angle. Beautiful work both Lego and photographically speaking!

Common concerns

Just an observation, but wasn’t getting rid of lots of pieces and going back to basics part of LEGO’s strategy that saw them rebound and avoid being sold?

And here I am having bought Arkham Asylum from the Lego store with 9 missing bags. Their customer service is great, but damn! Was really looking forward to building it.

I feel like we are going through the entshittification of Lego. The Star Wars smart play sets look awful, too. A sticker for a face? Geez. That’s just shitty.
