What's the obsession with Obsession?
I've been eyeing up Obsession for a long time and over the past two weekend I got to play a few games. Encouraged by the discussion under my [first](https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/1q5whsn/vantage_is_not_a_good_game_perhaps_its_not_a_game/) and [second](https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/1rn8wuc/hegemony_the_heaviest_board_game_thats_not_heavy/) ever reviews, I summarised my thoughts in this form again. Feedback is much appreciated and sorry about the cheesy title!
# Introduction
Before sitting down to play Obsession for the first time I checked it out on BGG. A thematic, strategic eurogame, ranked exceptionally high on both the “thematic” and “strategy” list (22nd and 49th respectively), and 66th on the overall list. Ranked higher than some of the best ‘light-hearted’ (meaning fun theme, element of luck) eurogames, such as Quacks or Clank, and ‘heavy-hearted’ (meaning serious theme and the absence of luck) eurogames such as Through the Ages or Tzolkin.
