Oregon Bricks and Minifigs Reportedly Stealing From Sellers
Saw this insane article about the Bricks and Minifigs in my hometown, and it seems like in the article that they have done it before. Anyone else had this happen to them? If this is a Bricks and Minifigs problem as a whole, that’s extremely concerning
Finally found Mister Miracle at my local Bricks & Minifigures!
Been hunting for this guy for ages!
I got this metroplex for $35
Went to a comicbook store to spend some birthday money and almost left with just two 2 dollar minicons but then I saw there was a metroplex for 35 on display, he says its a knockoff from Japan but im not the type to scoff at a g1 metroplexjust because its not original.
Considering restarting a hobby
Hey folks, I bought my first hot wheel in over 20 years today. I used to have a ton as a kid, and as kids tend to be, I was a dummy and sold them all for a video game. I didn’t see the importance of them anymore as I was “growing up and teenagers didn’t play with hot wheels”. But I must say, as I was walking out of Target with my girlfriend earlier today, I had the biggest grin on my face - all due to a small die cast car. It was nice being able to reminisce a childhood feeling that I thought I had lost forever. Anyone got any tips or tricks on restarting a collection for someone getting reacquainted?
I’m having a full-on Stendhal syndrome moment looking at her
I recently unboxed the rare Barbie The Wizard of Oz Fantasy Glamour Wicked Witch of the West (2014). My original plan was to keep her NRFB, but I changed my mind — and I’m so glad I did. She looks even more stunning out of the box. Her aesthetic is so refined and gothic, and I especially love that her outfit doesn’t rely on cheap plastic details. There’s something so elegant and thoughtfully designed about dolls like this. I really miss this kind of craftsmanship — a lot of modern releases just leave me cold. For anyone unfamiliar, Stendhal syndrome (also known as Florence syndrome) is a psychological reaction to an overload of beauty. It can occur when viewing works of art or nature, causing dizziness and a rapid heartbeat. That’s honestly how I feel looking at her.
"WOAH WOAH Transformers ZONE!"
Been waiting for this one for a while now and im finally happy to have the Takara Legends Big Powered set. After tinkering with their joints with duraclear varnish for a bit, they have decentish posability and awesome decos and sculpting. Dai Atlas looks so good next to Victory Saber! It also helps balance out my Late Japanese G1 collection for me, since there are more Victory Decepticons with toys than in Zone *(9 Generals sorta I guess? But no real original Decepticons)*, and more Zone Autobots with toys than in Victory currently, as both Victory Saber and even Galaxy Shuttle appear in the Zone TV story pages. In all honesty, the Zone collection is probably my favorite so far. Their designs are so far removed from "standard" Transformers designs that they really pop and scream "80s japanese mecha" Its criminal that they only got one Episode of animation, though the story pages are nice to look at. So much so, that I went looking for english translated scans of the Zone story page
