went shopping around for transformers and found this guy. i had it when i was a kid and never knew who he was.

I usually don’t buy 8 packs, but I just couldn’t resist this one I saw at Target. The pack I chose had at least 3-4 out of 8 cars that I liked, so not a bad pickup imo. I don’t mind giving away the ones I don’t keep regardless. I just loved the livery on this GR86 and figured I’d take some shots of it. Wish it had taillight detail on the back, but considering it’s just a mainline I can’t complain too much haha. Just a beautiful casting.

In all seriousness, the comparisons between these two figures is obviously night and day. It's not that Lio Convoy absolutely *had* to be 100% animation accurate to look good in lion mode, but the decisions made in regards to the actual realization of a "realistic" Lion alt mode for him just leave him looking like the Lion that was forced to eat tofu from Futurama if he was also Nosferatu-The lack of actual eyes doing him no favors in conjunction with the fangs. In terms of improving that, yeah, this is definitely an improvement, but *it's not the only one they could've done*, necessarily. A good looking Lion mode in general would've been just as good. I'm not gonna argue with the aesthetics of this new version though; it is fucking sublime, and thanks to TFsource somehow having it in stock in I think December I had it in hand way earlier than anyone who preordered it on Pulse or BBTS, and I can tell you, it's just as good in person. Anyone else like making little squads of unrelated characters?

Planning on adding some other characters (Valaverse Infantry Commando 2.0, Hasuki Veil Weaver, and Patriot Studios' Resident Evil Requiem Leon Kennedy when those latter two release) at some point. I was inspired by the photos I've attached, that sort of candid crew vibe. Maybe I need a better background...

Doll: Barbie Basics Collectible Ken Doll, Model 10 He does NOT look like he does in the packaging, well not his hair at least 😅 I know, I know, changes happen in the production stages! Couldn't they do a reshoot with the actual final product? Anyways, Mattel really can't do curly hair can they? He has the worst case of box hair, I was gonna cut his hair to look more like the model on the package but I kinda like his Mohawk (Undercut?) I redressed him as well.
